Made by Google 2026 is officially taking place on Wednesday, August 12. This is a week earlier compared to last year, with Google once again opting for an earlier Pixel hardware unveil.
This event is in New York City for a second year in a row. The invite announcement comes five weeks before the event.
The Made by Google 2026 keynote will start at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET, which is much later in the day than usual. Officially, Google is teasing “the next generation of Pixel” and we see a gold metal frame that is shiny.

We expect Google to unveil the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

They will obviously show off the Pixel 11 phone & Watch 5 families... But what (if anything) else might we see?
Pixel Buds? I'd like to see the line expanded to include open ear (hooked) form factor & over the ear headphones (Alan AirPod Max). Both (& Buds) to feature XPAN (like) technology allowing them to work on Bluetooth, WiFi and UWB.
Nest WiFi? Update to WiFi 7 (if not also 8 Ready (Qualcomm said we'd see it by end of year). Include a hardened form to be mounted outside. Add UWB so the pucks can create a heat map of network coverage & help to determine how to improve the network (moving picks closer/separating them, adding another, removing one etc). & The option to unlock Pro (DDWRT) level network controls rather than being limited to basically just setting SSID & key.
Pixel/Nest Tags... Preferably one that could work with my new Pixel x Yale door lock (or at least a add on gadget) that can automatically unlock the door when a UWB device approaches.
With the rumors pointing to an identical design — except for some sort of “Pixel Glow” indicator, this will be another big year for software and AI features. That said, a big question is the impact of rising component costs on specifications and the price.
On the wearables front, the Pixel Watch 5 should again be available in two sizes. We’re also due for new Pixel Buds Pro, but nothing has leaked.
9to5Google will have live coverage on August 12. Stay tuned!
